Kitsap County Clerk is the official record keeper for the Superior Court. As the County Clerk Dave Peterson mission is to serve the courts and the citizens of Kitsap County in a manner best suited to provide quality, efficient, and effective service. Applicants who desire to acquire passports may obtain the forms at the Kitsap County Clerk's Office. The following information is required as Proof of Citizenship: certified copy of Birth Certificate, previous passport, or Certificate of Naturalization 2 official passport photos, 2 X 2 inches Valid photo identification, and Applicant's social security number. Employees of the Clerk's office are prohibited by law from giving legal advice.

The Building Division is responsible for the enforcement of the International Building Code, the Uniform Plumbing Code, and the International Mechanical Code as adopted by the State of Washington and Kitsap County, The Building Division performs plan reviews to assure that proposed construction will comply with the adopted codes and ordinances, issues permits, and performs inspections of construction projects. Name and address changes for your real property tax statement are handled through the Treasurer's Office. Examples of appropriate documentation include, but are not limited to: Marriage Certificate, Death Certificate, Real Estate/Mobile Home Excise Affidavit, and Order for Name Change.
